GREECE 1929 registered airmail cover from Argentinian Consul General at Athens to his counterpart at Rotterdam, Holland, franked on reverse pairs of 40 lepts, 2 drachma and two pairs of 25 drachma. The envelope is a reused, refolded cover from Argentina.
Greece 1767 folded entire from Smyrne, forwarded at Salonique by "Tavernier" (recorded by Rowe in 1767 only), held for three weeks and then sent to Naples where disinfected, a yellow cursive 'Salonico' applied in transit at Rome by the Neapolitan post Office; a rare item.

HONG KONG : 1851 entire written from Canton to Georgetown, D.C., USA endorsed “Via Southampton” bearing central , somewhat faint Paid Crown Circle, to left of this two-line ‘SHIP LETTER/ VICTORIA-HONGKONG’, Red British PAID cds overstruck New-York 5cts cds, reverse with faint Hong Kong cancel; some oxidised reddish ink staining, an unusual combination of Ship Letter and Crown circle.
Incoming cover from London on DE 23/ 79 franked wing marginal 6d. gray, addressed to Dunedin and endorsed “Till called for”, arrival backstamp of 24 FE 80, UNCLAIMED straight-line handstamp and cds of same colour dated 9 JU and sent to Dead Letter Office at Wellington arriving JU 19 80. Some creasing at top affecting the stamp but still attractive.
India used in Singapore: 1860s printed envelope to Haverhill, Mass., USA bearing four colour franking tied by a little unclear 'B/172' cancels, red London transit below, '5 N.York Am Pkt date stamp and cursive '16 cents' accountancy,the reverse bearing good example of double oval 'FORWARDED BY BOUSTEAD & Co.' and Singapore date stamp;tiny piece of backflap missing, fine and rare.
Insured cover used to send 300 roubles to Vindava, franked on reverse 3k, 4k (strip of 3 & single) & 50k Arms issue, cancelled in violet “NO 4 FIELD POST OFFICE / PRIAMUR DISTRICT 18 IX 1905”. Wax seals with same inscription. Blue cachet of 2nd NERCHINSK COSSACK REGIMENT. Blue-lined registration label reads “RESERVE FIELD POST OFFICE No 4” with NINGUTA added by hand. Received VINDAVA, Courland Province (Baltic States) 22 X 1905; opened-out for display. This cover established the location of No4 FPO at Ninguta, Manchuria.
