Romania 1868 (17.2.) internal entire to Braila franked 1868-70 18b. New Currency issue, four good margins tied by blue-green Ploesti cds. A fine early use of this issue that became available on 1st February. Lamy handstamp bottom right.

Scotland: 1768 entire from USA to Glasgow bearing endorsement of Captain bottom left, top left with partial strike of Pt. Glasgow/ Ship Letter handstamp. With message from a new arrival “We are now going up the river and I hope to be at Petersburg in a few hours...I like the country here very well”. A very early use of this ship letter mark.
Scotland: 1806 entire to Lisbon bearing single-ring KILMARNOCK cancel in red, rated "2/9"(d), red tombstone transit and on reverse double-ring Foreign 5 date stamp, on arrival manuscript "240" reis charge.
Second Balkan War - Thrace 1913 envelope to London franked Bulgarian pair & strip of three 5st tied by bilingual 'SKETCHA' date stamp.

Somalia 1948 (29.JA.) stampless envelope from Mogadishu to Udine, posted during the riots against Italians in Mogadishu, sent by emergency free airmail for victims grante by the British Administration, showing Mogadishu despatch cds, ‘SERVICE DES POSTES’ handstamp and good strike of the triangular ‘SINISTRATI/ RIFUGIATI/ 1948/ SOMALIA/ FRANCHIGIA POSTALE’ handstamp; fine and scarce.
