The Arabic Revolt against the Ottomans started with the battle of Mecca and during this period the postal services collapsed; a scarce survivor from this period with inconsequential small faults to envelope.

la1875 (OC 30) envelope to Kensington, London, probably from Latin America, annotated originally to go “Per French Packet, Via St Nazaire” but instead taken privately to London, franked 1d., plate 166 and put into the post at Lombard Street.
Lagos 1891 large printed envelope to Hamburg, endorsed Per "Boeus" S.S. and bearing single franking 1s. tied barred obliterator, Lagos W Africa despatch cds bottom left, Paid Liverpool Br Packet transit, arrival backstamp; some slight faults including corner crease to stamp.
Late 1850s mixed franking cover ro Belgium bearing 1857 3Sgr (2) with four close to large margins (the right hand stamp very harshly described in certificate as rubbed at top) in combination with 1859 1Sgr rose-red, tied four ring 103 numerals with framed BERLIN/ STADTPOST-EXPED VII date stamp in association, reverse with Belgian entry and Brussels arrival cds, the wax seal has been cut out. As with most covers from this correspondence it is overfranked, H.Wasels Cert. Ex Erivan.

Malta: 1767 entire to Grenoble struck with a very fine example of the rare two lines MARSEILLE / DE MARTHE, rated "10", fine and clean.
Mauritius Used in - Postal Stationery) 1885 Queen Victoria 8d. grey envelope with Seychelles cds with reverse ‘C’ index, to Beau Bassin, Mauritius with arrival cds on reverse. The B64 obliterator unclear on stamp image. One of only three known usages of the 8d envelope on Seychelles. Less than a dozen Mauritius postcards and envelopes have been recorded sent abroad from Seychelles within the period of their usage.

New South Wales 1899 uprated 1/2d. postal stationery wrapper to Levuka, Fiji with 1d. tied Ship Mail Room Sydney cds, on arrival redirected with red manuscript Nukualofa, reverse with Haapia Tonga cds; fine and unusual.
New South Wales 1909 3d postal stationery registration envelope uprated by 2d. and cancelled White cliffs, the envelope originating at Nuntherungee, an outpost 40 miles west of white cliffs. The straight-line town marking in violet is possibly the only one recorded, as the post office closed in 1893.
