1864 pair of entires both franked 15c., the first 13 Ago from Messina to Trapani cancelled by Palermo-Malta Piroscafi Post Italiani keyhole date stamp with a fine strike alongside, the second of 6 Set from Siracusa to Genova cancelled Malta-Palermo Piroscafi Post Italiani. A fine pair of covers showing both directions of this scarce maritime date stamp.
1864 registered cover to Glasgow, endorsed "Per Royal Mail Route" and bearing straight-line REGISTERED and framed POST OFFICE/ VICTORIA VANCOUVER handtsamp, franked United States 24c. tied target handstamp and by New York Registered date stamp,San Francisco transit cds bottom left, cursive (crown) Registered and London Paid cds arrival backstamp; some faults to envelope but still an attractive example of rare registered mail.
1865 (1 Aug) entire to Sira franked 1858 30k. perf 12½ tied by Taganrog cds, Odessa rhomboid transit backstamp and black circular FRANCO on front, Syros arrival backstamp and taxed “50” with Greek 10L and 40L added (40L touched margin at base)with fine Syros cds; a fine and attractive, scarce combination.
1865 (23 Feb) entire to Eupatoria franked Russia 1858 10k. perf 12½ in two horizontal strips of three tied by blue Constantinople cds in Cyrillic; stamps fine and fresh, refolded to hide horizontal splitting and toning along filing fold, a spectacular franking.
1865 (Aug 11) envelope to Kensington, London endorsed “Via Marseilles” franked 2c. and 30c. each with blue ‘B62’ obliterator, London W Paid cds , the envelope being redirected from there without further charge and small crown over ‘R’ inspectors handstamp to confirm this, reverse with blue despatch and final London arrivals of SP 30; attractive cover.
1865 (FE 28) cover to Reading, underfranked with Great Britain 1862-64 6d. tied A26 obliterator. Underfranked with fine example of Insufficiently Prepaid handstamp, manuscript “Deficient postage 6d/ fine 6d” and ‘1/-‘ handstamp at right. The Insufficient handstamp had just been delivered to the Gibraltar Post Office in January 1865.

1865 (Oct 21) entire to Caracas from Valencia franked 1863-65 ½ real yellow (2), both with variable margins, both cancelled with a figure ‘8’ handstamp. A central paper stain, maybe old tape, otherwise good appearance.
1865 (SP 15) cover to Lanark, Scotland, endorsed “Via Marseilles” and bearing single franking 1861-64, rough perf 14, 10d. dull vermillion with indistinct bar cancel and hand-written “Stamped” in same ink as address, London transit bottom left, reverse with Colombo Paid cds and arrival cds of OC 16.
1865 cover to London franked 1855 2s. blue in horizontal strip of three and 1858 8s gree in horizontal strip of three, each stamp cancelled by ’51’ three-ring numeral, Odense cds in association, red P.D. and arrival cds. 1865 entire to Bordeaux bearing indistinct boxed "Taganrog/9" (inverted) (Dobin type 1.05) superimposed by Paris and Bordeaux cds. Reverse also bears straight line "Novoselitsy" (Bessarabia) 'Otpr' (dispatched) in blue-green (Dobin type 1.02) and boxed MYSLOWITZ/ KANDRZIN.
