(Natal) 1905 4d. postal stationery registration envelope, size H2, to Naples uprated with a mix of Victorian and Edwardian issues tied Estcourt cds, reverse with Ladysmith and London transits plus arrival. The 4d. brown in bottom left corner has been previously used, the postal fraud went unnoticed.
(Natal) 1906 ‘The Natal Navigation Collieries & Estate Co., Ltd printed 1d stationery printed letter card promoting Port Natal as a Coaling Station. Long printed contents detailing charges and services. Addressed to Melbourne, Australia with Durban cds, selvedge missing at left and largely detached at right.
(Naval Mail) Two 1885 covers from Naval Cadet Edwrd A Baird on the 14 gun armoured ship HMS Triumph which served as Pacific flagship from January 1885 until December 1888 and was in Coquimbo, Chile from 3 May until 25th June. Each cover franked with four 1d. lilac and carried to London by naval bag where they were cancelled by the Foreign Section with ‘F’ in diamond killer. Ringwood receiving cancels of 27 May and 10 July.
(Neapolitan Provinces) 1861 (26 Feb) outer letter sheet to Foggia bearing single franking 2gr., good to large margins tied by framed ANNULLATO, fine Partenza Da Napoli date stamp at right, arrival backstamp of the following day. An early usage of this stamps, 12 days after issue and a rarer cancel on this issue, signed A.Diena, Sassone and Raybaudi, ex Provera.
(Neapolitan Provinces) 1861 (31 Ago) outer letter sheet to Napoli franked 2gr. blue horizontal pair and 5gr. rose-carmine tied by two TROPEA date stamps, straight-line ASSICURATA handstamp below, arrival backsatmp. Very fine appearance with stamps with good to large margins and fine clear cancels, tear in backflap not detracting.

(New Republic/ Transvaal) 1888 (18 Aug) envelope registered to Bordeaux bearing 2d. (4 Jan 87) on granite paper without embossed Arms, in combination with Transvaal 1883 re-issue 1d. (3), 1885 6d. blue, 1885 ½d. on 1s. green and 1887 2d. n 3d. mauve (, one damaged), all tied by oval VRYHEID date stamp in violet with year error ‘87’, red manuscript registration number, London and Calais to Paris cds, with on reverse, Dundee Durban and arrival cancels, the envelope with large part cut away on reverse. This letter was posted less than a month after the New Reublic became part of the Trnsvaal. Transvaal postage stamps wre already available in Vryheid. The postage rate to France from the Transvaal was 9½d. via the Cape Colony and 7½d. via Natal. The registration fee was 4d. The 2d New Republic internal charge should no longer have applied, but was nevertheless paid by the sender. From the transit marks this letter followed the more convenient and cheaper route through Natal and is thus 4d overpaid.

D.L.R. to pay the registration fee, cancelled by roller with double-oval Registered Sydney date stamp, London transit above this and arrival on reverse; small part of backflap missing.
