Some minor aging but an extremely rare entire. Ex H Wood.
1879 (Dic 28) stampless official cover to Constantinople with printed ‘Correspondencia particular/ del/ Director General de Correos’ and on reverse the associated printed seal, octagonal date stamp bottom left and on transit at London with two 1873-80 1/- green, plate 14, GE and HH, tied ‘10’ numeral obliterators, reverse with London transit and fine British Post Office Constantinople index A cds of FE 5/ 80; a fine and most unusual cover.
1879 (JU 13) ‘On Her Majesty’s Service’ (deleted) envelope to England at double packet rate franked two 1s dark green, perf 14 x 12½ with ‘cross’ cancellations, despatch cds at left, reverse with Bristol transit and Cheltenham arrivals. Under a Treasury Warrant of 13th June 1876 both the Cape and the St. Helena rates were reduced to 6d. Some creasing, last day of rate.
1879 (JY 21) entire to Genova, endorsed “via Spain” franked Great Britain 1864-79 1d., plate 192 and 1879-79 ½d. vertical strip of three EF-GF, cancelled ‘A26’ obliterators with cds at left, reverse with Madrid transit and arrival cds; some toning around perfs mainly, a less usual franking.
1879 (NO 28) folded long entire to Rhodes, then Turkish endorsed “Via Marseilles” and franked 1873-80 2½d., NB, plate 16 tied Bristol ‘134’ duplex, reverse with Smyrne Turquie D’Asie French Post Office cds and blue dotted circle arrival cds.
1879 (Nov 15) Envelope to England franked 1a + 4a tied Rangoon R-1 duplex and Bank of India..red oval cachet addressed to Messrs Grindlays (inter bank correspondence). Intact seal on reverse and London arrival backstamp, minor patchy discolouration to blue envelope, otherwise fine.
1879 (OC 11) mourning cover to Canterbury, Kent, bearing single franking Great Britain 1873-80 2 ½d., plate 13, DK, cancelled by ‘942’ obliterator with Larnaca cds alongside; slight fault to stamp top right, pleasing appearance.
1879 (OC 31) outer letter sheet to Madrid bearing single franking 1d. red, QI, plate 204 tied by Gibraltar ‘A26’ duplex, arrival backstamp of 3 Nov; some slight splitting on folds, fresh condition.

1879 mourning envelope to London franked 2a and pair 4a tied 'N-7' numeral duplexes, registration handstamp on reverse with manuscript details, arrival on front; some slight faults to envelope otherwise an attractive item.
1879 outer letter sheet posted on board ship to Napoli franked 20c. orange-brown tied by framed PIROSCAFI/ POSTALI/ INTERNO handstamp, without any further indication of despatch but probably Palermo, arrival backstamps; fine and attractive.

1879 stampless cover to France bearing blue privilege CONGRESS CORREOS circular date stamp with crown at top, black handstamped 'T' as this privilege did not extend yo overseas mail, no evidence of charge being paid, with red arrival cds.
1879 unsealed envelope annotated at top “printed Circular” sent from Cardenas with despatch cds at right, franked bisected 1876 25c. with black smudged canceller. Good example of 12 1/2c. UPU circular rate.
