1608 (pencil dated) outer letter sheet, honorific addressed cover to Itzehoe, Schleswig Holstein, addressed to the Burgermeister and councillor of Itzehoe with manuscript below “Belanget die schuster (Cobblers) und tuffelmacher von Stade”. Reverse with large seal with date at base 1590. One side flap missing not distracting from a fine early cover.

1698 entire to London addressed “for Richard Bate Esq, To be left with Mr John Burrowes Merch”, arriving on 20th February 1699, 71 days later and marked on the back with the small size Bishop Mark. Endorsed “p. Capt. Milk Q.D.C.” and rated 3d.
1699 (?) entire from Sevilla to Florence, Italy without postal markings, annotated "13-4", wafer seal on reverse, ink smudge on front
1720 entire from Galata to “Sig Nicolo Caragiani” at Venezia; a fine and fresh early clearly written legible letter.
1743 entire to WINDAU, without postal markings but with manuscript "Franco"; small tear at base otherwise fine and early item.
1744 (21 Jan) entire from France to Dublin, rated “2” in error, deleted and re-rated showing a very fine strikes of the horseshoe COUNTERFEIT/ 2 and RECHARGED alongside. Extremely rare handstamps, the latter unrecorded in this format, slightly rubbed horizontal filing crease, small corner fault clear of handstamps. An exceedingly rare and important item.
1745 incoming entire to Venezia from Constantinople with fine negative handstamp, very clean condition.
1747 and 1788 entires to Marseille and Carpentras each with straight-line ROME handstamp of the French Offices. Fine condition pair.
