(Wreck Mail) 1950 (April 6) picture postcard to Stockholm, Sweden that was carried on the SS Bore which floundered off the island of Aland. A violet cachet applied at right translating as ‘Damaged by/ s/s Bore 1 grounding’ was applied to the mail addressed to Sweden. Good condition, the stamp soaked off.
(Wurttemberg) 1854 outer letter sheet to London, franked first issues 1Kr. (2) Mi 1c. and 18Kr. i. 5) cancelled Stuttgart cds, oval-framed P.D., red French entry cds and arrival date stamp. The top 1Kr. affected by filing crease and lower example repaired margin, the 18Kr. also with repaired margins. Repaired but fine appearance showing the rare 1Kr. seidenpapier, H. Thoma certificate.

(WW2 Suspended Mail) 1944 (11.9.) cover addressed to Shanghai, China with stamps tied Tomelilla cds. The cover was stopped by the postmaster and a hand-written note commenting on the regulations and that the registration receipt has been returned, signed J Akesson. The registration label removed. Believed to be a unique device amongst service suspended/ return to sender devices.
(WWI British Relief Fund) 1915 (11.7.) “On Active Service” stampless envelope to Neuilly, France from S.R.F. 2nd Hospital stationed at Pozarevac, censored by Serbian Military authorities, arrival backstamp, a rare usage of the S.R.F. hospital.
