1917 registered censored envelope to London bearing a very fine philatelic franking of British King George V values in pairs with ½d., 1d., 2d., 2½d., 3d., 6d. and 1s. mostly tied cds of 13 MR, one 1d., 2½d. and 3d. tied cds of 30 MR, at left two-line PASSED CENSOR/ ASCENSION handstamp with initials above. A spectacular cover with high catalogue value.
1917 registered cover to New York, franked 1916 ½d. green block of six cancelled by scarcer larger double-ring date stamp, registration handstamp at left, two strikes as first unclear, Danish St. Thomas transit registration, reverse associated transit, rare U.S. Seapost and New York cancels.
1917 stampless cover to South Africa bearing blue double-ring P.O.W. cachet, dispatch hexagonal cancel below and red South African censorship; light vertical filing crease.
1917 two stationery parcel cards, one uprated, both addressed to “82nd Field Ambulance, Salonicca Forces”, both also bear double-ring Armee D’Orient/ Censure/ Militaire. A most unusual pair, each with slight faults.
1918 (14 May) underfranked local envelope with 1916 ¼d. and ½d. green WAR STAMP with Suva cds, at left framed ‘T’ handstamp filled “2 ½” and with 1917 Postage Due typographed locally ½d. black and 1918 Narrow Setting 2d. black tied by Sunburst handstamps in black.
